Kyle Barker

Dr. Kyle Barker holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics and has a deep passion for using mathematical theory to solve complex, real-world problems. His journey into mathematics was inspired by an early fascination with patterns in nature and their role in explaining phenomena such as fluid dynamics and population growth.

 

With over a decade of teaching experience, Dr. Barker has taught a wide range of students, including those preparing for prestigious mathematics competitions such as the AMC, AIME, and the Putnam Exam, as well as students in AP Calculus. His dedication to fostering mathematical curiosity and critical thinking has made him a valued educator.

 

Beyond teaching, Dr. Barker is an active researcher, having published peer-reviewed work on topics such as monotone traveling waves and p-biharmonic maps, with additional papers currently under review. His commitment to academic excellence aligns with Blue Tent Online’s

mission of providing high-quality, rigorous instruction to students seeking a strong mathematical foundation.

 

Outside of academia, Dr. Barker enjoys growing peppers to make his own hot sauce and spending time with his wife and young son, Benny.
