New! Dissection Intensive | Summer 2025

image-2_edited_edited.png

Did you know that not every animal has a 4-chambered heart? Or that worms have a closed circulatory system, more similar to humans than insects? If you are interested in comparative anatomy (how body systems look different between different animal types) and would like a stress-free, hands-on learning environment, this Summer Dissection Intensive is for you!

This course is geared to rising 8th-12th grade students who either

  • would like their first experience at hands-on dissections, or

  • have previously performed some dissections, but would like a refresher.

Join our instructor, Bekah Hilton, as she leads you through 7 different physical dissections over the span of 2 weeks. These dissections will include 4 animals (worm, crayfish, perch, and frog) and 3 mammal organs (sheep heart, sheep kidney, and a cow's eye.)
